My mission: To give top service and for the customer to be happy with the result. I believe in good value for money and believe I am able to provide that in my services to you.

Computer/Laptop Repair Hourly Rate

I charge the same repair hourly rate whether for a desktop computer or a laptop/notebook.

The standard hourly repair rate is $150 for my 1^st hour or part thereof and then $60 per half hour if required. Includes GST.

This is less than a major computer company you see or hear advertised on radio or TV will charge.

I operate as a mobile technician and also do repairs from my home office.

Customers usually contact me because of a referral or because they saw the reviews left by others on a internet search. I also do local letterbox drops in my area.

In terms of total computer repair cost, many computer repair jobs that I undertake can be completed within one to two hours.  Some troubleshooting can take longer. It’s not always easy to give a exact quote but I do my best to deliver the service in the quickest time frame possible.

If replacement hardware is needed, this is naturally an additional cost.  I will always give you an estimate of labour costs including parts, before doing any work so you can decide whether or not you wish me to go ahead.

Data Recovery 

I charge a fixed data recovery fee of $190* for successful recovery if done in my home workshop.  The customer can provide an external hard drive to recover the files to or I can supply this.

However, if after having spent some time attempting the recovery process and I cannot recover your data I charge a $75 diagnostic fee.

If you want me to do this data recovery on-site (at your home or work), then the hourly rate as above will apply.  Please note that data recovery can be a timely process and if done at home or work can become rather costly.

If I am unable to recover data from your desktop, notebook, or portable hard drive I can recommend a data recovery company that have clean room facilities and more sophisticated technology to handle the recovery if a software approach cannot retrieve the data. However the rates charged by such a business are far, far more costly than the $190 I charge for full recovery.

Screen Replacement Costs

The cost to replace your laptop/notebook screen is dependent upon the resolution, the size, and whether it’s a touch screen. I then have to check the availability of replacement screens in Australia. I can provide you with a quote for your particular type of display at no cost of course. When calling about this I will need the make and model number of your laptop/notebook.
